Local Investing YYC is an investment cooperative based out of Calgary that lets everyday residents invest their money in local businesses. Local Investing YYC invests its dollars through RRSP or TFSAs to support local businesses that have been socially, environmentally, and economically supportive in their community.
In 2017, Local Investing YYC was co-founded by Barb Davies who believed that local investing would make a difference for both small businesses and Calgarians. Since 2017, companies such as Righteous Gelato, Lowen’s Skin Care, and MobSquad to name a few have benefitted from this community investment cooperative.
