There are many ways to start a tactical urbanism project, but it’s best to start with identifying the problem you want to solve and have conversations with your neighbours to determine if the problem is mutual.
The next step is to brainstorm a potential solution. This could include drawings and photos of what the solution looks like. When determining a solution, keep in mind what resources you need (e.g. financial) to make it a reality. We’ve seen streets made safer with $1,500 slow down signs, but sometimes it only takes $50 worth of paint.
