CASE is a program developed by World Business Chicago, the city’s economic development agency. The agency’s overall strategy is to create jobs and cultivate talent in Chicago. CASE has developed four initiatives to support achieving the agency’s strategy. This includes building partnerships with anchor institutions to increase local spending, building relationships between local businesses and anchor’s to facilitate new contracts, increase the network of local businesses and anchor institutions, and facilitate training to build capacity among Chicago’s small business community. Their efforts have resulted in 15 successful anchor institution agreements that have led to an increase of $11 million in revenue for local businesses since the launch of CASE in March 2014.
