Imagine Cities |WATER SUPPLY

Water is essential to human existence. Although 90% of the earth is covered with water, only 3% of that is consumable fresh water. Out of the 3%, polluted and contaminated water reduces the amount of consumable water available. In the United States, each person uses 100-150 gallons per day. In Europe its 74 gallons, 35 gallons in Switzerland and 23 gallons in China. With the birth of new cities, and as others continue to grow, not only will increased demand come from a growing population but also industries that need water for their businesses. This includes agriculture and energy production, which need a significant amount of water. There are almost 780 million people who live without the access to clean drinking water.
